Stahl Specialty Company is one of the largest permanent mold aluminum foundries in the United States. Our foundries are located in Kingsville and Warrensburg, Missouri. (50 miles southeast of Kansas City) The combined facilities cover approximately eleven acres under roof.

MULTICRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Summary of position

Maintenance support for production departments to keep equipment in good working condition/repair to meet the production requirements of the company.

Position is responsible for:  

·         Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

·         Ability to troubleshoot electrical failures to component level and make needed repairs.

·         Experience with gas furnace controls.

·         Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs, panel views, set up parameters or load programs.

·         Working knowledge of compressors and Power Train applications.

·         Analytical skills for troubleshooting machine failure.

·         Computer skills.

 

Requirements

JOB SETTING:

·         Inside work in a hot environment.

·         Ability to be flexible in working hours/days to ensure continuous production in the foundry.

·         Ability to work with 3-5 other individuals as well as all levels of supervision.

 

WORKER QUALIFICATIONS

·         Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial environment preferred.

·         Experience plus educational background in field also considered.

·         Must be able to work afternoon, over-night or weekend shifts.

·         Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.

·         Strength in hands, arms and legs to perform maintenance tasks.

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally in and writing.

·         Strong electrical/electronics troubleshooting.

·         Hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and fabrication experience.

·         PLC & robotics experience.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         Standing:  Constant standing while performing maintenance tasks.

·         Bending:  Frequent bending while performing maintenance tasks to troubleshoot and repair.

·         Lifting:  occasional to frequent lifting of machine components.

·         Carrying:  Frequent carrying of tools and machine parts.

·         Reaching:  Frequent reaching, approximately 12 – 50 inches vertically, in front of body

·         to repair/install equipment.

·         Hand Tasks:  Frequent power grasp of various tools and equipment.  Squeeze force between

·         1-10 pounds.

·         Seeing:  Constant clear vision required for visual inspection of equipment needing repair as

·         well as for safety in moving about the work area.        

 

DUTIES:

·         Observe all company rules and regulations

·         Keep work areas clean and orderly.

·         Ability to work independently to accomplish maintenance tasks necessary to keep production running in a timely manner to meet production schedules.

·         Ability to work some weekends to perform maintenance tasks during non-production times.

·         Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

·         Report any abnormal conditions to supervisor.
