Tool Room

Stahl Specialty offers technical engineering support to enhance in the casting design for the best production process while extending the tooling life. Prior to machining the mold cavity, multiple solidification modeling programs are run to arrive at a robust mold design. H-13 tool steel is the primary mold material offering the customer extended tooling life.

Our in-house tool room has eight CNC machines along with all supporting equipment needed to build permanent mold tooling and sand core boxes. Mechanical and hydraulic sliding steel cores are also used to provide repeatability saving the cost of sand cores. In-house tooling means the customer engineering changes aren’t delayed due to transportation time.
